It gets fishy when you think in terms of what they are saying in so many words, if you choose to D/L any mod that wasn't sold to you by EA/Dice themselves it can be seen as a violation by PB. So by those terms your only "allowed" to run what they want you to. Look at the Teamspeak mod, same premise, intergrate Teamspeak into BF2....wait till that starts banning people.

I learned one big lesson, just because its released on totalbf2 or planetbattlefield doesn't mean that its ok.

I'm tired of logically stating the obvious here.
EVEN BALANCE (FFS, will you atleast TRY to get the names of the people you are insulting right??) has NO OTHER OPTION.

This BF2amp was NOTHING MORE THAN A SHIELD for the hacks.
THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THEM IS TO DISALOW THE PLUG IN!

I feel I should attempt to defend myself here, even if it is asking for trouble.

                    Was Angelus banned? Yes.

Was Angelus banned for BF2Amp? No.

The hack maker had a nice idea with the BF2Amp release. But not good enough. It does not trigger our hack detections. I tested BF2Amp myself when we heard about it, and was never able to flag a PB violation using it.

Now I'm really confused, you contridicted yourself.

I'm not going to get into a debate about why I was banned, I know the only thing I installed was bf2amp, but thats not going to count for anything.

But lets address the issue at hand, you said it does not trigger any flags, yet you also say the hacker had a nice idea, but not good enough. Obviously it triggered something. Or if you ask me, it sounds like you updated PB to just flag the mod.

We all know how unstable and unreliable your product is, the problem as I see it, is Gaming companies need to see this as well, and either ask you to step up and offer a better product or invest in another system.

But Evenbalance plays the odds, by banninggroups of people at a time, with the odds that some would have been cheating. Problem is some weren't and those poor folks don't get any say as to what happens, because they are deamed as a cheat.

P.S. I find it amazing how after mentioning this site as well as planetbattlefield, you magically show. Yet your suppose to be up to date on the mods for BF2?!

why would someone play music while playing BF2?

Is that the reason so many ****tards don't listen to things, and don't seem to hear the enemy tank just around the corner and charge around it anyway?

Well being it was in Battlefield vietnam, and the ***tard your referring to one was me, I used it mainly in the jets and choppers, you see you had the ingame option to play pause and stop the music, so if I were on foot, I would pause it. But anyone that has been with the Game for long enough would know this.

I'm siding with Evenbalance on this one...

Nor did I find a contradiction in his statement.

If I understand correctly, the hacker inserted his code in BF2AMP, hoping that if BF2AMP would be acceptable to PB, then maybe his hack would be acceptable for PB. Stuart was merely saying it was a 'nice try'...but not good enough.

Moreover, we wouldn't have this problem if people would leave well enough alone.

So if you get burnt because you installed something on your computer to modify your BF2...you have to accept the consequences.

have you ever asked yourself, that a software allows you to control some other program within the interface of battlefield 2 maybe, just maybe, used some sort of hack protocol to avoid PB detection?

And also, maybe, just maybe, if PB doesn't ban people who uses this protocol, other real hackers can use the same exploit?

Let's just say I used a windows exploit to do something totally innocent, will Windows try to fix the bug? YES

Listen, I am not blaming PB for ruining a mod, nor am I not accepting the fact that, Yes I did install this on my computer. I'm a big boy, I take responibility for my actions, I am more furious because PB won't even take into consideration that some people got duped. They installed this mod from reputable sites, this isn't one of those things were I purposely sought out a cheat. I/we have D/L this as a legit mod to enhance our gaming experiance. I just wish they listened and maybe took these things into consideration.

Will I get over it, of course. It's a game, and there are many others out there, and more coming soon, that by far are much better and more adapt to helping their customers. But if this is how PB handles unusual situations, well as a business, I see them being condemned to fail.
