I liked clans in games like Tribes Vengeance. To me they were the people paying for our servers for nothing but their love of competition and the goodness of their hearts. They had friendly competitions with eachother from time to time, and they never stat padded that I'd heard of. They were skilled, that's how they earned huge amounts of points in a game. Not cheaters.

But in this game about half if not more of the clans are nothing more than bundles of stat padders who got toghether so they could chip in to buy their own stat padding safehouses.

ya i was actually in a clan with a leader that did that. When ever things didnt go his way, he would get ****ed off and start banning people for no reason. Needless to say i left the clan after awhile and tried to make my own. It was just 5 or 6 poeple, basically just me and a couple of friends from work that paid for a server and website. Well i guess that the one clan leader got ****ed at me for some reason and got one of his friends to hack into my forum site and mess everything up, you know, put gay **** up everywhere. i eventually fixed it but the clan and i just had more important things to do, so we split up. You'd be surprised how childish people are when they don't get there way. I garuntee if they knew me in real life they wouldn't have done a thing, but oh well, life goes on right?

All that means is that his clan was dependent on you for competitions (when they weren't able to stat pad), otherwise he wouldn't have gotten so ****ed.

Stories like this makes me appreciate my clan that much more. I have never seen anyone from my clan stat pad or attempt a cheat. We care more about winning a match and having fun than our individual stats. Our philosophy is stats are fun to get, just get them in the flow of the game, or do it on your own time.

A bunch of punks that act like that isn't a clan, it's what we call a gang, with gang mentallity. All together, or on thier servers they are real hero's, get them out alone and you see what cowards and crappy players they really are.

Just my take on the stituation.
