joystick use??

i am just starting BF2 and have a saitek joystick. are joysticks compatible with the game, and if so how do i get it to operate?

yes of course it does, but i dont think force feedback is supported.
go to options and assign the buttons.

You can set up your joystick in the controls tab. There are multiple tabs for the different kinds of air vehicles and what not.
