Well, i have a pci slot. I didn't know it was bad when i bought it. So, i have an nvidia geforce 5700, it's one of the best pci cards you can get, is there a better PCI card out?
If not, i'm just going to have to upgrade to like 2 gigs of ram to get better preformance.
look you will be able to find some worthy pci card out there but none are worth buying if you plan on using it for gaming as the problem is not the chipset of those card or the amount of memory it has but the problem is with the pci bridge it simply does not offer the transfert rate needed for running recent game and there dependency.
but if you really want to you may be able to find one the web some like
i.e.: BFG Tech GeForce FX5200 Overclocked 256MB PCI Video Card

he said he already has a 5700, a 5200 is a step down.

Now are you sure you dont have a AGP slot cause all new computers still have atleast one PCI slot. All add in soundcards currently use PCI slots still. AGP slots are normally brown in color and are the first slot closest to the processor. The processor is gonna be where the big heatsink and fan is in case you didnt know. If you dont have a AGP slot but wanna improve your game performance you REALLY need to look into ditching that mobo and gettin one with AGP. Then you could just move everything ya already got over to the new motherboard. Depending on what cpu you have you might find one new for sale online somewhere or im sure you could find something on ebay. it shouldnt cost you much either. This way you will be able to get a much wider range of video cards. This is what you need to consider cause PCI just isnt for gaming and is the reason AGP was made.
Hmm, well i don't see any brown slots. Just 2 metal looking ones, a white one, and a grey one. When i used to run my pc on an intel intergrated chipset and went to properties where is shows your vid card, it said EXPRESS. doesn't that mean pci-e slot? pci- express? i dunno. And i'm not sure what a motherboard is, and how to move everything i have onto it. This is one reason why i bought my dell. I had to rely on a name brand to tell me what was good and what wasn't. (yea, bad idea).
