bf2 problem

when I join a server all I see is a single place on the map and I can't do anything else. The pointer wont move and I can't even press escape. Can anyone help me out?
This has never happened to me before and it started today.

same problem with me, had this problem for about 2weeks now someone said delete everything in folder 0001 in profiles but that doesnt work..

well iv just scanned my pc and found 73 trojans...
I'm hoping this is my problem.

i dont think it sould be that, i reformated my pc then installed bf2 and multiplayer still didnt work it just hung there and did nothing.

That just blows me away. There was a guy on EA UK forums today who had lag problems for 2 months that he fixed by running an anti-virus and finding 18 viri of his machine!

Well i have ATI 9800 pro so its not the cards!

I have a usb logictec mouse, and a bog standard keyboard ps2.

im lost!?!
