So there have been some other threads on this subject but I haven't read all of them, so if I'm repeating information that you know already I apologize.
So the other day I tried to log in to play BF2 and I got the error, "The uniquenick provided is incorrect." It wouldn't let me log into my account which I have been playing on since June. 87 hours is a lot for me since I work full time and I'm married too, my stats aren't the most l33t out there but they are the best I've got.
So I emailed their customer support hoping they would be able to restore my account since it can be found in BFHQ when a friend of mine uses the in-game comparison thing. The response I got was,
So no help there. What I did realize when I tried to log onto Gamespy to follow the person's directions was that I had a new "Gamespy account" which was a new one that I had created after I couldn't log on to [ZPC]Smelly. I also knew that other people said the problem was related to Gamespy in some way. Then I remembered deleting [ZPC]Smelly from my Gamespy.com login about a week ago when I was logging into Fileplanet.com to download something.
So I guess I should have known that EA and Dice's game account was actually connected to Gamespy.com which is also connected to Fileplanet.com and that if I deleted my account when trying to log onto Fileplanet.com it would adversly effect my logging into BF2 to play.
So moral of the story, don't mess with your gamespy.com accounts if you log in for any reason. I don't expect them to fix anything for me because they have already proved they care less about their customers than 2 dollar ho's care about their John's.

"If you are having difficulty logging in to play Battlefield 2 online, and you need your password or login ID please go to www.gamespyid.com. You will need to request to have the password or login ID sent to your email address listed on your gamespy account. If you are unable to retrieve the correct information please recreate a gamespy account to play Battlefield 2 online.
