Sniper problems

Hi all, i unlocked the M95 and y is the shooting range so poor???
i mean sometimes i even shoot a guy at point blank with it and they still dont die, and even when i get a headshot from not long away it still doesnt get them... what is going on here and is there anyway to fix them??

The fix :

Improve your marksmanship .
Headshots do not come easy (with the M24 is easier) and hitting everywhere else requires 2 shots even with M95 .
The range is good , if you can see it , you can kill it , but this weapon real advantage is the ability to kill Chopper pilots and gunners (thru glass)

hmm, but still doesnt explain my point blank range in the head prob and wateva i can see i cannot kill, even if i get a head shot or shoot them in the back 5 times they still dotn die

i can only explain that as lag problems , what ping times do you usually have ?
ie: you think you´re hitting the guy , but he´s not there anymore , like if he as a ping of 20 and you have 150 .

I have quite a few kills as Sniper and yes it´s not easy to get headshots but not impossible , and 2 shots on a guy (even on a leg ) will kill him.

I've come across the 5 shot thingy, my only explanation was there was a medic or medpacks on the roof.

Ive actually found the M95 easier to get head shots at medium to long range (not super long just in sight range). Depending on how far away they are, i try and put the cross hairs right ontop of his head (the horizontal bar). of course its much easier when their not moving... but quite satisfying when they are.

at close/medium range... im not sure how the gun is.... but i rescently had a really good experience. a dude running towards me (anti-tank) at close/medium range, i drop to the floor and zoom in... he takes up about all my scope, and i belive i shot him in the stomach/chest area. he died.
dont know what his status was... half health full health... but i was happy.

When aiming, before firing, keep your cross hair still for at least a second. Your aim has to settle. This time is less with the other rifles.

I believe that the m95 is better against armored opponents. There is a web page floating around that shows damage against armored vs. un armored I forget where it is. Also, someone mentioned that it can in fact shoot through glass and hit people in vehilcles. What is funny abou this though is that it takes one shot to kill someone through glass no matter where you hit them but when someone is not in a vehicle, it takes 2 unless you hit someone in the neck or the head.

Try shooting for the neck as well, its easier to hit.

What it looks like to me is alot of people are confused about the M95's true purpose

The M95 was not made to be a headshot weapon like the M24 -- if this weapon were 'Very Accurate' (like the M24 description on the Kit Info screen) and did insane dmg, it would be too powerful. The rifle is made to negate armor and literally leave a gaping hole through someone (bringing them to the point just before death).

You *CAN* do headshots with this weapon, but honestly you should be aiming for a person's torso (this weapon brings you down low enough in health that 1 pistol shot will finish an opponent -- IF you're at full health). This weapon is also good on moving targets because you have a larger area you can hit and still do extreme amounts of damage.

m95 is great.. i've made several kills when i couldnt even SEE the target.. guy goes out of range into the fog.. name tag about to disappear.. BAM! he's dead.. :-D point blank may be a little too close.. think about real life.. if ur right up in front of a guy and put the crosshair on a point.. you will NOT hit that point.. it'll go lower.. and in BF2.. if you're TOO close.. it'll just go right through him..happened to me a buncha times.. the barrel is like the tanks.. it'll go through any object.. including people..ur prob just TOO close.. work on your aim though :-)
