Just thought I would give a heads up to anyone trying to get any of the veteran badges.
If the badge you are working on has a time and kills IAR (in a round) requirements - you need to have the time in before you get the kills IAR. Does not matter if you have 50 KIAR, if you do not have the time in, you don't get the badge. This holds true if you have 14:59 when you start the round, then get 20 KIAR - you will not get the badge until your stats show you START THE ROUND with the time filled.
The above, I knew to be true, but wanted to share in case others did not know. The following suprised me last night:
The same holds true for getting badges such as the pistol and knife veteran badges. Last night when I started I had 49 total knife kills - veteran requires 7 IAR and 50 total. 49+7=56 - so I thought I could go for the badge and the time in one round. Not so. So then my logic was - ok, get 8 kills and you will have the 50 required, and then the 7 on top of that. I got 10 kills in that round - no go. I guess because my stats did not post until the end of the round.
I tried the same thing with pistols. I had less than 50 total, but I got more than enough, and no badge.
Just thought I would share so that no one else would try the same thing I did and waste their time doing so.
