I had a great game of BF2 last night. No, it wasnt the highest scoring game I've ever been in, but it was one of the most enjoyable. I happened to be squad leader of a squad with one other player. I was an engie, he was a medic. Tank seemed to be unattented most of the time, so we jumped in. What really struck me was how much of a team player he was. He acknowleged orders, he watched my back while I replaired arty, uav, sat, and especially when repairing the tank itself while we had it. Saved my skin on more than one occasion, rather than have some damned enemy come up an steal it from under my nose!
When we go low on health, he dropped medic bags. I think at one stage when he died, I got his gear and revived him.
I'd say the commander loved us too, because we'd go as a team to repair anything he ordered us to. One particularly polite thing was when we got to an empty tank, he'd hop in, but hop in the second seat when I caught up. I really wasnt expecting that! I guess he though squad leaders deserved to drive. :)
We didnt end up getting a huge amount of points, although we did ok. We worked very well together. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the game when your team mates are actually team players. :)
