Was out walking my Frank staffy dog and this chopper comes over. If it weren't for the lead connecting me and Frank i would have been over the wall and on my belly EEEEEkkkkkkkk, Enemy Chopper Spotted.

I see Apache's fly over my house almost on a daily basis. If I am out on the back deck when they fly over, I find myself backing up towards the house, or heading for the corner so I can get around before they see me! lmao.

I know there are not apache's in game - but damn if they are not close enough to the MEC/China ones for me.

I tend to experience more stuff like you are talking when I play racing games too much - and then go driving. Like hanging around after work when you work for a video game company. You and all the work buddies play a racing sim until 9 or so at night - then go get in your cars to leave campus. You find yourself inches away from taking out your friend's car in front of you with a pit move, so that you can pass them before the corner....yeah - had that happen before. lol

I don't even play that often anymore, and two things still get me-

There are a couple of large buildings going up in my town, and whenever I'm walking by one of the huge cranes, I sometimes catch myself looking at it to see if I can spot someone laying on it.

Second, the AeroMed chopper takes a route directly over my house. If I'm outside barbecuing or whatever, I start looking for it right when I hear it to see what direction it's coming from, like I would in game. Then I realize it doesn't matter.

My girlfriend says I'm crazy.

If he's a sad sad individual, I'm a tradgedy. Everywhere I go I think about if the place would make a cool BF2 map.

I dont think there is one true video game junkie that has never had a dream about a vid or for that matter been like...yo all BF2 style with the boys on a night out....lol....U know what Im talking about

The people who really 'live' this game are in our Armed Forces, and I'm grateful for their bravery and sacrefices.

Personally, I was in the area the "DC Snipers" operated. Two of the shootings occured at places I frequented. I was constantly walking in random patterns and keeping my girlfriend between cover and my body so I'd be the one to take a hit if a shot was fired. I also carried too, a Glock 21 at the time, and was hoping I'd run into those SOBs. Snipers my ass. A Bushmaster XM15 with Bushnell Holosight at under 100 yards does not a sniper make.

So yeah, I tend to think defensively on the street. Especially when I carry, and yes I have a permit.

I work at a Naval Air Station, and we have Seahawks flying over all the time. I also pass them on my way to lunch while they're sitting on the tarmac spinning up. None of them have mini-guns on them, though. They're all sub hunters here AFAIK.

I yell for a ride, but those bastards never land and pick me up. They must always be full.

I had this wierd moment yesterday while going to work.

I was riding the bus, and I saw a couple of people walking trough a park.
My first thought was:

Are you crazy? You can´t walk there, you got no cover what so ever!
You´ll be sniperfood in a minute. Run for it!!!

And then it hit me, I´m IRL...
Sad story huh? Guess I´m gaming too much :)

Do you guys have similar experiences or am I going crazy?

I did something the other day that cracked my friends up, We was walking back to our car form eating a resturant, we all play BF2, And out in front of the resturant theres Flag pole, I got oh ****, Unprotected flag, I ran over to it and stood next and look around all Nevously like people do in the game, I told them to get there asses over here so the flag will change faster, they just laughed hard

I walk around defensively and paying attention to places and possible nasties but that has nothing to do with playing BF2 :p I'm just paranoid :) Like Tactical_Marksman, especially when I carry

Umm not so much with BF2 but when I played Medal of Honor once I was outside and a bunch of birds flew out of these trees in front of me and I thought it was the japanese planes so i acted like i was behind an automatic gun (the kind they had on deck of the ships) and started shooting at them

Thats about it. But I do dream about it... just thats the biggest thing (above) which happened in RL.
