i was playing Wake Island 2007 on the HQ of CHina.

took the Transport Helo, moved to the jet, jumped off and took the jet.
btw. 3 peeps where running at the jet too.


2min Later.. your where Banned from a admin.. reason: no vehicle usage to get to another vehicle.

You deserve to get banned for taking a shopper to Taxi...fare enough if it was a buggy or something...but a chopper...that is being cheaky!

Guess it depends on the circumstances...

I sometimes use the flying cow if nobody else wants it simply to fly across the map then point it at the ground and jump out. It'll blow up and be back at the base in a few seconds anyway...

I guess it could be annoying if it was left to spin around in the sky for a bit though. I always try to point it at a cliff or the ground or something so it will crash after I bail.

I have sometimes done this to get to a tank quicker, but not in a race against other players, just because armour was needed elsewhere on the map and it would have taken ages to get there otherwise.

Using it as a taxi across a small area to win a race to a jet... not sure if it's a banning offence but I can see how a few people may be peeved! Especially if one of the admins wanted the jet.

It strikes me that the admins are seriously biased when things happen to them they do not like, like getting beaten by a better player. Elsewhere on the map someone is in a TK frenzy but this admin is more bothered about losing a rat race.

It is pretty stupid wasting a helicopter just to get to a jet first. It does kinda hurt your tam overal because now they dont have a chopper they could have used elsewere.

That rule is on quite a few servers these days however it's rarely enforced. Usually it happens when you beat an admin to a vehicle he wanted. That being said I don't particulary agree with the rule either. If you joined a game and wanted to fly and were unlucky enough to spawn a fair bit away from the vehicle it makes sense that you'd take a vehicle to get there faster.

It was deserved , what about your teammates that wanted the chopper and now have to go looking for it on foot ?
The extra time it will cost them may be the difference between getting to flag before the enemy and arriving at the same time as an enemy Cobra for example ...

You used a chopper to get nearer to a jet? Perhaps a ban was a bit harsh (a warning would have sufficed), but man, it makes you no better than the 16 plebs running to the jet in the first place. Where you spawn is luck, better luck next time.

the helo was destroyed b4 my jet lifts off. 15seconds later a new one appears. an NOONE want the cow.

I am getting kicked a lot and banned occasionally. Not for wasting vehicles though as that is poor game play dude sort it out. Ban was not good though they should have just warned you.
I get kicked for denying them there toys. I go spec op and infiltrate the base, destroy assetts then plant C4 where the jets spawn. Then Red dot there battys a few times and call in Arti on the runway if commander.
I got kicked and banned from T3 [OGR] just the other night.
Basically when they know i am capable of denying them there toys they kick me. The really sad ones ban me.
What ****es me off most is if they are flying around spraying me when i am on foot they are happy as pigs in muck. When i take it upon myself to neatrulise there Gay asses they kick me. Its very weak play.
And before you start i am in the base denying assetts as spec op.

Dude, you took the chopper to get to the jet on Wake?

They're practically right next to each other!

By the time you ran to the chopper, spooled up the engine, took off, and maneuvered over to the jet, you could have already had the jet in the air.

I'd be ****ed if I wanted to Heli to transport and you used it to fly 100 yards to win a race to a jet. I wouldn't ban though.

It wasn't deserved. If you take your enemies airpower assets then they cant pose a threat bombing you from the sky. Its smart.

Nobody wants to f*cking fly the flying cow anyways. Its guns bl*w, and its a sitting target for anything that wants to shoot it.

But thats what you get when theres an admin around who's a kid. Go to places like {SOB} where the admins are more mature. If one admin kicks for ludacris reasons like taking enemy vehicles and jets, than that admin gets stripped of his power and banned there.

Dude, that's a 10 second sprint, it would've been faster going on foot than waiting for the chopper to actually start moving...
