We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I have this too, when I click the button (in the menus, not on the desktop), the game just seems to hang.
However, I've read somewhere that this feature IS actually working, but it tages ages before it manages to find a server and get you connected. And while the BF2 mouse cursor (the spinning "2") is showing, you can't alt-tab or ctrl+alt+del, so it just seems like it's hanging.
I'm really trying not to be funny but I'd say just don't use it. I got confused because I've never pressed it and wouldn't trust the server to find me a place where I'd want to play.

Sometimes when i disconnect from a server and the disconnect button doesn't work the first time, i click it again and usually the play now feature starts.

yea that is what happens, you click disconnect and nothing happens, so you click it again and it works, oh but you clicked there twice so it thinks you wanted to press the play now option. I mean for crying out loud, I could join a server, play for a minute, leave, and join another server before the play it now option got me in one server
