Do you think the ranking system should provide rewards/bonuses??

For example, do you think that getting lets say a Veteran Spec Ops badge should perhaps give you 50% more ammo or something along those lines (nothing too drastic though).

I think it would be a nice addition, since right now badges/ribbons are just for show, and this would make people more eager to obtain the badges and there would be a reward for doing so.

I dont see how something like increasing ammo amount, or sprint duration, or decreased reload time would hurt the game. I think it would DEFINATLY be a cool edition, kinda like a MMORPG (in the sense that you get a Y reward for doing an X action).

Medals such as the Marksmanship one could give greater bonuses, like maybe 25% less recoil (bullet spread in this case) to every gun. I would LOVE it if they added something like that, it would have me playing probably twice as much.

And remember, this would be available to anyone, and it wouldnt be anything too drastic (25% recoil reduction may sound like a lot, but for the reqs. for that badge, they definatly deserve it lol).

Post your opinions if you will :-p Hopefully EA/Dice will consider this as a new feature of the ranking system.

tht idea would be awesome!! reminds me of wolfenstien enemy territory wen u get more ammo and health and stuff for going up ranks!! would be a great addition, EA if your listening!! GIVE THIS SOME THOUGHT!!! hahaha is if they ever listen to anyone!!!!

Oh, and in case my idea seemed a little vague, whatever ribbon/medal you got, the reward would only correspond to that gun/kit etc...

In other words, you wouldnt be able to stack them all up and have 30 C4 charges, 18 clips of ammo, and 5x sprint duration by getting every badge out there :-p

It would just be a small, non-drastic change to spice it up a bit.

I actually think rank has something to do with piloting. At least it seems to me that before the patch came out i was a corporal and when piloting a chopper i was okay, but couldnt manuever very well. at first i thought it was a mouse sensitivity issue, but after the patch i skyrocketed to gunnery sergeant and when i piloted a chopper the other day i was able to spin the attack chopper around in a circle while pointing down at the ground while firing at the enemy just like i used to be able to do in bf:vietnam with the hueys. I never changed my sensitivity rating for the mouse at all, but all of a sudden i was flying really well again, so either i just had a stroke of luck that day, or rank has something to do with how well you can perform on certain things. who nows....

I like the idea and have already thought about it, too. But I would keep the rewards on a different level, enhancing the primary weapon systems seems to good an advantage.

Faster repairs/reloads, greater repair/health radius or more ammo or kits to throw on the ground would be one thing I'd like to see. Or maybe rank specific items like a binocular, simple sun glasses and so on.

Bad idea cos most people have cheated to get their badges and ribbons.

If the cheating can be stopped the it would be a good idea

Its bad enough with the unlocks. They can't implement things like that or nobody would buy the game anymore. How would you like it if after 3 months, you just bought the game & go online to play & tons of people have all these unfair advantage tweak? Not likely!

Interesting idea but in practice this would just make the better players out there even better. Though I realise your numbers are just ideas at the moment, 25% less recoil would be insane - maybe 5% at the most.

Perhaps something whereby when you acheive an expert badge you can gain a minor bonus for that kit IF you have the unlock.

e.g. if you get expert assault you get one more magazine for the G3, expert spec ops gives you one more C4 or gives the G3GC a laser sight.

It needs more thought to ensure that balance is still maintained but the idea's quite promising.

I love the idea. The only problem with it is it would encourage people to stop playing for the team and go for more points, again. Now that the patch is out and the unlocks are soo much easier to get, it seems like everyone is starting to be less of a rambo and more people are joining squads. It could be just me, but thats what I have started to notice. I do like the idea though, it would just take some consideration on how to make it fair and not unbalanced.

Personally...I think the idea or a bonus is good, but not in the way of Tweaking what is already at the player's disposal.
If there was a bonus to be recieved, it should be after getting an EXPERT Badge and the player Bonus would be a SKIN...change the soldier skin for that class. Anything else would make the game pointless!

I think it would make the gameply even worse because it would unbalance the game even more than it already is. Its a cool idea but really its just one more thing that can go wrong and will have to be patched :hmm:

I think much greater emphasis should be placed on rewarding for numbers of flag capping.
