Excuse me for my bad english, but I'll try to explain:
By rotating I mean when the chopper hovers in one place and turns around, by tilting i mean when the chopper goes sideways.
This manuever is created with rotating and tilting at the same time, while the choppers nose is down.
Nose down - goes forward
Tilted - goes sideways
With the rotating, that creates the manuever.
If you are interested, I have an old (1.02) recording of that maneuver at: Cone (bf2demo format)
Quite possibly you won't be able to play it anyway.
No, the main difference is that in circle "strafeing"? the chopper is horizontal, (nose pointing to a point inthe air) with this maneuver the choppers nose is down, and because of that you need to tilt more agressively. (nose pointing to a point on the ground)
"circle strafeing" can be done with any speed, as the amount of tilting can be changed, but with the cone maneuver there is on optimal tilting based upon your altitude (nose down factor)
I dont know how to do it but i think i understand what you mean.
at the top of the cone you have an attack chopper that is cirkeling around with the nose downwards which allows the pilot to fire his missiles towards the flag all the time while circleing it. If that is so i would also really like to know how to do it, and if you mean something else i still would really like to know how to do it
Yup that is a heli whore's signature move. You know you can fly a heli when you can do tight circles. Put it this way I use keyboard only, have the nose pointed at the ground, crank the heli on its side a bit and constantly hold down either A or D depending which way you want to circle of course and nearly always have full power on W. For some reason I always tend to circle anti-clockwise. Now I tend to have the heli leaning right whilst circling anti-clockwise.
If you want a demo sometime jump on our ranked server some time the name is Raging Rebels Ranked 1.03 and I'll take you for a spin, literally or visit our site www.r2clan.com and leave me a message that you want to go for a spin.
the key to this manuver is having to tilt the helo to its side (mouse left/right) instead of using the tail rotor to do the turning, your using the main rotor to actually turn the helo. It allows you to strafe an area, the only pain is being on your side somewhat..
