I'm a pretty fair helicopter pilot, but one thing has always bugged me: what the hell is that little circle that pops up in the HUD every now and then? It only seems to show up when I'm near the ground, but doesn't appear to have anything to do with altitude.

its a hover indicator. if your in a perfect hover it will be right over the gunsight. if your off a bit it will veer off either way. go try it and u will see. u also need to be close to the ground.
