I Have Speculative Date For 1.04

I have a friend of mine who works in an EA office although I really would rather not say which location In case he gets in some kind of trouble. They rarely get any accurate information so PLEASE take this info for what its worth. Anyway he said that EA Sweden is currently evaluating the 1.03 patch and reading all the feedback on the boards, there will be a new patch but do not expect till after Christmas or early 2006. He said that once Special Forces is released EA Sweden will be meeting with EA Canada to work on the next patch & evaluate the current status of the game. Once again this is pure speculation but if any of it is true I wanted to let the folks know. :)

its not a secret, EA is a HUGE company but if I said where he worked there is a slim chance that someone from EA could track him down in his department & possibly get him in trouble. He had to sign a TON of legal docs before working there. In fact he is not suppose to post on ANY board that he is associated with EA in any way. you have NO IDEA how much legal stuff there employees must sign. :)

I can imagine how much legal stuff they have to sign. It would be insane. As for the speculation, i'm not holding my breathe even if it is true and to be fair what you said is fairly common sense. Of course they are going to re-evaluate the game and come out with another patch. The time frame should hopefully be about right but we know what happened to the last one:)

So, v1.04 by late Feb. or early March. We all know it will be delayed.

Yeah, late and lame as usual. Sounds just like DICE/EA.

Hopefully it will fix at least a few of the bugs 1.03 introduced.

Are you sure EA isn't owned by Microsoft?

I think EA/Dice REALLY want to get SF done ASAP before the holiday season it will make them more $$$$ :)

It's not hard to see what are the main and most important bugs that need stamping out and early 2006 just seems ridiculous to me.

They should really concentrate on getting it out asap.

I know of at least 4 people who have gone over to CS:Source because of the bug issues.

God this game is so broken.

Why the hell didnt they just make one big arse patch that fixes everything?

WOW -- One download is quite a big amount of downloads, ain't it? You don't need to install patch 1.01 or 1.02 after a fresh install. Just 1.03.


And, 1.04 could be released just as fast as 1.02 was. Er, nevermind - It's been 9 days since 1.03 was released.. more than the time it took for the 1.02 hotfix to be released.

Yeah, that's what they are most likely doing right now. So hopefully, I do mean hopefully, EA/DICE can focus on patching up BF2 and SF when it comes out. I liked the last patch, but I just want them to get rid of that teamate show up red bug.

hahahahahahahahhahahahahhahahahha here we are in october already starting this **** up again.... i know you may have a friend but quite frankly all this speculation sounds like bubkus to me...

personally i sorta think a small patch will be released to coincide with SF to bring BF2 vanilla up to scratch with any gameplay tweaks the expansion includes....

lets not bring this topic up again till 2006 shall we lol
