really annoying texture problem - renders game unplayable

Ok, so this has only started happening since I installed the latest patch. Basically it could take from 5 minutes to 1 hours to appear, but once it does the game runs runs lower than 1fps meaning I have to quit...I don't know if this is a coincidence but it usually happens when i'm in a chopper or jet!



gfx card: geforce fx 5900
drivers: 77.77
cpu amd barton 3200+
1 gb ram

Sounds like a heat issue in all honesty. Check your GPU temps.

Did you delete the folders in the BF2 cache? I've heard of this same thing happening when patching and not deleting the folders in the cache.

If that doesn't fix it, check your GPU temp if you can.
