a general question anybody know how the poly count works , i mean how does one find the limits of the amount of polys for a model in bf2? any idea on what the limit is and stuff??

Theres a big difference between limits and recommended limits. A limit of the engine im not too sure about but its probably some number over 10,000 possibly 20,000 but at these poly counts it would just run slow. A person should be about 2,000 - 3,000 polys, a weapon just under 2,000 and a vehicle between 3,000 and 5,000. -
