Has anyone installed these yet and noticed any differents in BF2?

i still dont understand how ati cant fix the problems that their users have with bf2... near all nvidia drivers i hear run fine with the game.

Ive got an ATI card and Ive never had any problems with BF2 (or any game for that matter) wheras 4 of my freinds with 6800 GTs have had issues from crashes to flat out not being able to play the game at all.

I had a ati 9800 pro and with drivers > cat 5.6 i would get all kinds of weird things like disco bushes, black and brown triangles filling my screen etc. All a thing of the past now that i have a gforce

i avhe a 9800 pro and i get the new drivers alomst every month. i havent had one problem with any of the ati drivers that i have used. i never have had any problems at all with my 2 year old card or any set of drivers i have used from ati. the only time i have problems was when i used omega drivers.

I have been doing some reading and almost everyone has said that there is really no change from 5.9 to 5.10, in appearance or benchmarks on other forums.

I downloaded 5.10 for my x800 xl , Caused major memory problems. Tried to uninstall and roll back to no avail so I had to use system restore. 5.9 gave me no problems anyways I shouldve just stuck with those instead of wasting a half hour.

aaaaarhhhhh ... still the shadows aren't fixed. They are so blocky I'd rather turn them off ... :hmm:

how can you tell what driver you are running ?

of course they do, Nvidia was one of EAs buddies in making the game. From my experience whichever company supports the game company for the game has less issues with the final product than the one that doesnt.

also, I still have the cat 5.6 drivers...since thats the last version that works without corrupting the terrain and whatnot

The fact that there is a big influence from nVidia and nVidia logos present in BF2 should give you a hint as to why...
