Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I dunno if it is different for the 50,000 different ranks, but i know for a fact you CAN go from Master Gunnery Sargeant>Sargeant Major - which is also the same "rank" but needing the badges.
A good friend of mine was promoted to Master Sargeant at the patch (3 rank-ups) as he was aout 46,000(ish) points when 1.03 came out. Well he worked like a son-of-a-bitch to get to 50,000 points which he was heading for anyway pre-patch and was rather dissapointed to find at promotion it only took him to Master Gunnery Sargeant. (yes he is a stat whore )
Anyway after reading about the fact you needed medals, he realised he had all basics EXCEPT for "basic transport" and "basic explosive" (knife was basic only, but he was awarded pistol was with the "bug" long ago) So one round last night while on VOIP we spent a map just driving about in a jeep to get the transport badge for him, we played the game properly he just stayed in jeep at flag caps and i got out to scout about.
Well suddenly he shouts over VOIP that he has finally got the transport badge after all this time and while we are still laughing about it and wondering how to get the explosive award next, suddenly he RANKED UP, to Sargeant Major (from the "lower" master gunnery sarge) which i was amazed to see after reading all these posts about how you cant rank up after reaching the point score required.
The was about a 2 or 3 minute delay between getting his transport badge and equalizing his rank, but everything is still all in order, according to his BFHQ and various stat pages, and he has kept his high rank in game of course. Interestingly you don't need the explosive badge for the "higher" ranks by the look of it, so i wonder which others are not actually required, although the others are pretty easy to get except that one which takes some thought, or selfish play
This is also very wierd, i was looking at the players around 50,000 points ,just to see roughly how many were Master Gunnery Sarge and how many were Sergeant Majors.
Well this (random) player http://bf2s.com/player/44030986/ is a Sargeant major but DOSEN'T have lots of the basic badges, NO KNIFE or NO PISTOL badge specifically, basic, veteran or otherwise, interestingly they do have the transport badge which is 100% needed (from experience now, read last post for info)
Anyone else know for SURE what medal are needed for the "higher" ranks?? I will try and narrow it down myself and post back.

when I came back from 3 weeks of travel
got bumped to 1st sgt
and then loaded 1.03
could not join any game - said bad version
so had to un-install, then re-install
then got bumped only to Master Sgt
noted I never got knife or pistol or ordinance
was about to risk k/d for these
then found this post
so......
is it too late to get 1st? or not?

believe it Jnick, its happened to ALOT of people including myself. I recieved my veteran and basic pistol badge at the same time as I had over 50 pistol kills before I got 7 in a round. This happened long before the patch and I am positive I had all the badges required for first sergeant, yet I was promoted to master sergeant.
Its not a big deal, but as some people say, its a bug that should be fixed.
But what you're describing is the basic/vet pistol badge bug. The original poster is explaining that he didn't have the knife or pistol badge when he made master sgt. and now that he recieved them, he wasn't promoted. THAT is not a bug. It's either get the badges before, or you're out of luck. What you're explaining is something totally different.
This is total BS and happened to me. Stupid EA can't get anything right. I imagine the room where they discuss these things; there's probably one person there and they haven't seem the light of day for years....
Well atleast the 1.03 patch kept the red vs. blue bug alive! For a combat game to have a bug that keeps you from distinguishing friend from foe is truely unforgiveable.
I am master serg to, and have all badges, but got my knife badge after the promotion, am I screwed ? NO , because you do get the unlock and who cares.
But I do recomend to get all badges before reaching 50.000 points, because else you are going to be stuck at your rank forever (unless you are planning to make it to second luitenant or something)
