It seems whenever i'm online, at least once a game (level permitting). I happen to find myself with no helo, plane or dpv... and i have to resort to the normal slow deliberate movements of a boat.
but there is a way to accelerate the boats past their normal speed.
This occurs often when u beach a boat, it'll speed up a bit along the shore (until the motor touches land and it stops). So all you have to do is this.
1. When you want to get somewhere fast- drive the boat partially on the shore, dont beach it but make sure the bow of the boat rises, YOU will definetly notice a difference in speed.
2. If you want to escape a btr/tank/helo trying to blow up the relatively weak boat, try and find a nice large rock or island to launch off, accel. into the rock/island, making sure you dont let the motor touch the land, and you will literaly fly (REALLY, sometimes the boat gets airborne and launches you).
P.S. explanation is simply this, less boat in water=less drag, typically termed "Planing". just dotn over do it or the boat will flip upside down.
TRY IT, IT REALLY WORKS!
