The DNA 77.77 are the best drivers for me IMO. Runs BF2 and CS:S beautifully. The 80.xx drivers were among the worst drivers for BF2.

update: been using the xtreme-g 81.84v2 (which includes tweaks for bf2) and have found them to be really good? in the notes it mentions tweaks to combat stutters and initial lag and it certainly does seem to impact these faults - much smoother (still very minor stutters under stress but |nothing| like before)

any1 else tried these?

I have found the xtreme-g drivers with the BF2 tweaks to be quite good.

I haven't switched to 81.84v2 yet because of the hassle of 3 reboots and then refreshing the cache, and then defragmenting

But I will soon

I'm downloading the xtreme-g 81.84v2 as I speak, I take it all I need to do is uninstall nvidia display drivers then just install these? dunno why you'd have to refresh cache and defrag from driver installing.

My experience with 81.84 is very bad, like color pink artifacts, stutters and continous lag on my SLI rig, so I return to 77.77. (I go to post screeshoots later).

Well, I just updated to the XG 81.84v2 drivers..

I'll let you all know if I run into any problems. So far so good. The LOD/texture bug on runways/helipads is still there though

I just updated too, didnt have to clear cache though or reboot 3 times.
