That's "good manners" indeed.. But still, it's better for everyone if you (or anyone else unskilled at flying) practice in single player.
Let's set a scenario. I consider myself a decent/good pilot, but I prefer ground combat. However, if my team suddenly starts getting owned by the other teams' fighters/bombers - I will spawn on the airfield/carrier, take the plane, and get those hostile jets out of the skies.
Now, if some "noob" (lol) sees that the plane is just sitting there on the carrier, and he crashes it into the water or something else silly, our team will keep getting owned by the enemy jets.
I'm not saying "reserve the planes for the skilled pilots", as I don't mind decent pilots flying around - but when someone can't fly for **** he shouldn't grab a plane on a public server.
There's one thing I don't get though... New players who tries a plane on a full server, crash their chopper/jet and perhaps also "gains" some teamkills - and then receives massive verbal abuse.. Why oh why do these people continue doing it? Do they enjoy the teamkills and verbal abuse? If you start a single player game, you can practice as much as you want, you'll have the jets all to yourself - and you wont **** anyone off!
Not only that, but learning to fly offline is actually easier as you have no latency, no enemies stressing you and no hassle!
