Basic Air defense badge

I been trying to get the basic Air defense badge and for some reason i cant get it.

Can i get in a AA viehcle and sit there for 5 minutes

Its 11 kills and 5 minutes in a round right? Its very hard to do with the new nerfed stingers in 1.03. I rarely bother to even drop flares if im in a chopper now a days. My friend Paul got his using the AA vehicle on Daquing Oilfields.

I got mine on Sharqi pre-1.03.

I just really wish the anti-tank and anti-air badges were based off "kill 5 tanks in around for basic anti-tank" etc.

The badge is 5 mins in one, the ribbon is what you said, pimyo.
I got it while camping in the second one on the carrier while commanding, droppning arty...
Counts as AA kills.

Even though it doesn't say it, I think you have to record at least one kill as well. And the AA was actually "unnerfed" with 1.03.

I got mine by playing in a AA tank, but my roommate joined a server of Sharqi sat in the back AA stinger sit (at Beach uncappable in the south) and got it after 7 mintues of sitting in the thing.

Get in a mobile AA - gun infantry and jeeps for your kills. Or do like =Sealinear mentioned and be a commander and get your kills from arty.

Yep, just time for the badge, so find an unused stinger and sit on it for a while. The ribon requires 11 kills. I found the easiest way was to use the AA vehicles on Kubra to kill infantry.

Have you even tried it lately? My stingers go right past choppers that are hovering no more than 100m away. They suck now.

you just need to sit in the stinger for 5 mins,now if you want the ribbon the easiest way is to get in mobile AA kill 11 ppl with it and stay in the mobile AA for 3 minutes

Do you guys find that the Linebacker is better for taking out Infantry/light vehicles than the Tsungten? Because that's how it seems to me.

I like the linebacker better because it is like sitting in a regular tank,the MEC and China AA has that thing in the way in cockpit view and cant stand it

Yea, you don't have to killaircraft, just jump into an AA vehicle and waste infantry.

I got mine on 64 player Dragon valley, at the middle flag(the one with the temple thing on top of the hill with stingers on either side), as Chinese. It's got two stingers on top of the hill and another at the bottom. All I did was sit in one looking for incoming USMC choppers, fire both missiles, run across to the other one and fire those missiles. By then I was being shot at so I ran down the hill to the 3rd stinger. By the time I got there they were just starting to turn around(after passing you from nosing down to shoot) easy pickings. The only time I died was when I wasn't paying attention and got jumped by infantry.

Got my badge and ribbon in the same round.

Find 16 player Fushe pass, grab the mobile AA and chill at the middle flag. The main gun tears up infantry and vehicles nicely. If an APC comes your way you might be toast, but still. (It's how I got mine, go figure)
