shooting through walls and bunkers.

hi. recently i seem to be getting shot through walls/sand dunes/ bunkers, just about anything. yesterday i was on the new 1942 map and i was hiding behind a bunker and a tank was shooting in my direction with its machine gun and it killed me through 2 solid walls of bunker. is this a bug or something im gonna have to learn to live with or both.

I had this last night aswell on Kubra Dam...MEC Airbase.
The Building where the flag is, an enemy APC shot me through two walls aswell.

Also, Ammo & Med Packs fall through floors to the ground if you drop them for team mates. How are you suppose to heal or supply if they fall through the buildings...SERIOUS BUGS that EA need to sort out! 1.03 is just as bad as 1.01 & 1.02!!! (Where they actual patches?) lol

I got shot through a bunker wall by the machine gun from a tank last nite on wake island as well. Dont recall that happened prior to the patch. Either splash damage has been increased or its a bug

As I recall sandbags dont make a very good protection againsed 30-60 MM bullets travelling at velocities enough to snap a tree just passing them.

Maybe hes on about the concreate bunkers im sure ive had that happen to me but i couldnt swear to it.

Two things I can't stand: 1.Getting shot through walls 2.Hit detection problem when shooting a shoulder fired rocket. I hate it when the rocket hits a wall next to you, and kills you even though when looking through the sight, it looks like your no where near the wall. After you die your like...."WTF!!"...who hit me, then you realize it was your own weapon .

Yeah it is a bit crazy.

I have survived a tank attack by running behind the corrugated thin iron fences, but have also been prone behind a 2ft thick concrete wall and died from machine gun fire! I've also been inside the bunkers on Wake and died from ERYX hitting the wall outside!?

I know the main gain has some wicked splash damage, and bullets do ricochet off concrete.

I guess it would be called a bug. If you lay next to a wall your head or feet can go through it. Shoot whatever is passed the wall and boom, you're dead.

The tanks and apc machine guns have been designed to be able to shot through the tins fences and wall of buildings and sand bags (as would in real life!!) but not to sure about to walls or a concrete bunker

When you're prone, the camera goes into your ass. In other words, instead of viewing from your eyes, you get your camera view from your hip so the game can rotate when you turn. This is why heads stick out of the sides of walls and such. Also, lag can cause the game to think you are still in the open when you are really behind cover. That's why I get a lot of kills by shooting at the spot a guy used to be really quickly.

Their is a collision problem in BF2. I have seen players legs showing through walls when hiding. I have ran up to the wall and shot the legs, and did get kills. Just be more aware when hiding near walls, that your legs could be showing through to the other side and vulnerable to the enemy.

Well from my first point...I was actually out side the building, The opposite side of the APC...the bullets went straight through the building and hit me!!!

yeah i was prone on one side of the bunker outside and thank at the opposite end so it had to shoot through a concrete bunker to hit. i didnt notice this before the patch. i play on ts with a few mates and all i hear now is how the **** did you/he shoot me through the wall. guess il start hiding behind corrigated fences now . game is still really amazing and this little bug will only make me swear at my monitor now and again. thx for your replies everyone
