technical question

Ok, I set up my own id on my friend's computer, using his copy of the game. I'm now buying my own pc and version of the game so I can play at home. Will I be able to pick up my existing id on my new pc? Bearing in mind that it was set up on my friend's pc and version of the game. Ideally, only answer if you've actually done it, or know for sure about it. I dont fancy starting again from scratch with a new id.

yes your info and stats are held on stat servers. There is a button that says retrieve account on the sign in screen. click this then enter your email or id and password. it will retrieve your info and it will be there the next time you log on

just think as well if this wasn't the case then you would have to start again everytime your reinstalled the game, that's not good.

thanks! just out of interest, would the key code being different on my new version to the one i set it up on, affect this?
