The up-comming Special Forces addon?

Hi,
I just wanted to know if this new addon will be compatible with the original BF2 (1.03) in multiplayer? if it is incompatible, that would really be a messed up thing to force everyone into.
I did a search but found nothing.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Yes it will work with BF2 (1.03), the same company making that made BF2 is making SF, so I would think it only makes sense for them to work. However the expansion will be seperate from BF2.

Battlefield expansions are basicly officially mods with piracy checks etc in place

As such, they do not alter the original game content, and indeed run happily alongside the BF2 "mod"

Yeah i meant the compatibility with different versions. Some of the flight sims i play only have compatibility with the same version on the game. But it seems this is more of a mod made by DICE rather than others in the community.

Theyre completely independant of each other. An original copy of BF2 will be a requirement to install the expansion, but people with just BF2 wont be able to play people on maps from the expansion. Theyre also being developed from 2 different branches of DICE FYI.
