please help...btw i found that it u can change the resolution to
+szx 640 +szy 480 whcih is like low low resolution but the text is barely readable and if u go to options it still says that it is at 800x600 so will that screw up the game making it htink that its one over another and making it more slower?

To change it properly, and so that it does not give you errors do the following...

          Go to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles

Then look for the files that correspond to your profile, to check this go inot the files tat should be named 0001 or 0002 or 0003... etc and open the file called "Profile". If the name there matches the profile you want to change then open te file called "Video".

          Change the line

          "VideoSettings.setResolution 1024x768@72Hz"

To the resoloution and refresh rate, so if you want it to be 600 by 480, and the refresh rate to be 80, the line should read.

          VideoSettings.setResolution 600x480@80Hz

With the above method, my game crashes at the main menu.

Even at 800x600 with low details you should get acceptable performance on your system.

Try turning down you settings...you should be able to play fine at 8x6.

Also, go into your console and type this "game.lockfps 400" without the quotes. Whenever your FPS locks up at 15 it shouldn't do that anymore.
