Just did a scan on ASE and did find something interesting.

Both are testing the special forces expansion HOWEVER if you look at the gamever cvar, they are running version 1.1.2552-310.0

That cvar relates to the BF2 version and not the xpack version unless something has changed in cvar reporting.

dude your just trying to start an argument over who makes patches, you obviously care but no-one else is so obtuse. you sit and pick the smallest hole in someones argument simply because you lack anything of interest to say.

infact i wasnt looking for one but it just bugged me, everyone knows that dice are the developers and EA are publishers. my point is im tired of hearing it again and again from people who think they are being smart or simply just rude, so i jumped (didnt say how high :laugh: ).

true i found an argument and started it (you are correct after i re-read my posts) but i cannot stand when people pick holes in arguments for no reason other than trying to make themselves look better and bringing someone down.

no im not internet police i just find some peoples remarks are completely not needed/justified/wanted and have no merit (this may also apply to some of mine but i try and explain instead of simply trying to be rude, we all know that what he said is correct but it does not need to be said over and over again anytime someone mentions EA/Dice, we understand what the guy was saying.)

That's not the reason I like to clarify it at all.

Imagine if you created a product. You then had Billy Bob sell and market the product for you. Next thing you know, everyone starts crediting Billy Bob with creating the product. Wouldn't that irk you?

I don't consider knowing the difference between a programmer and a publisher to be any sort of mark of intelligence or makes anyone look better than another, I just want to make sure credit (whether positive or negative) is given where credit is due, because I know how I would feel if I was in DICE's collective and proverbial shoes.
