    Preventing chainexplosions of minefields?

    Question is:

how long must the distance be between two mines in a minefiled to prevent a chainexplosion?

depends what vehicle hits it at what angle.

The distance is the square root of the sum of the other two sides' squares.

Well you shouldn't have them close together at all, just close enough so that vehicles would have a very difficult time getting through.

Well pretty much impossible how I see it. The distance between the mine to prevent Chain mine explosion is way too far apart so that they are pretty much useless. I would suggestion putting only one at time in key spots. I have to say I was not too happy about this change. It is only one less reason to use the Engy kit now :hmm: .

on the other hand, it does make some tankers overconfident that mines don't get used anymore, anyway, perfect for taking out a tank coming over a hill

*edit* overall, I'm not happy with mines exploding when looking at them in a mean way, either, though..

Mines did this before the patch. There's not much you can do, because a minefield loses its effect if its not dense.

yeah, but they didn't all go 'bye bye' after an APC round or two before Now, they're somewhat useless, guys can drop nades or shoot w/tank-apc to clear the path.. I'll go back to using them like a jihad SO player and his C4, running to plant one b4/after a tank :)

The trick to putting mine on the grounds is to remember three basic facts.
                          • You cannot see the skulls above enemy mines.
                          • You can see the sign above enemy health/ammo packs.
                          • Tanks love picking up ammo.

Kudos are good. I like Kudos Snickers the best. :)

PS - I used to vacation in San Destin.
