****** knife badge

I HAVE TRIED FOR HOURS!

I cannot get the basic knife badge, since the patch there are too many g36c's and DAO's out there and im afraid i just cant get it

I came close with 6 kills, then the round ended and i was pretty ****ed lol

Any tips?

1.Go on karkand as mec
2.only use your knife
3.US soldiers always go in to allyways that overlook you spawn (couldnt explain any better, lol) Thes people are knife fodder
4. look for groups off people that have been killed, and medic are reviving them, jump into the middle off it all and knife away
5. Have luck on your side

well i think i was on SAK when i got mine, u need to concentrate on being unseen and trying to sneak up on someone, otherwise i think i got my seventh by just rushing a guy and jump/prone to stab him as he proned (laughed and was relieved to see the badge come up) yeah its a struggle sometimes but you jus have to stick at it an join a map with alot of infantry an no real armour.

if this is what you want then concentrate soully on getting it and any opportunity you get to use knife then use it, you will get killed from time to time but you will earn the badge the hard way (when i got mine i think i used the knife the most in the round, didnt want to get a kill with pistol/gun and stuck only to the knife so when my kills went to 6 i new i had 1 more to get an to try damn harder to get that 1 )

omg the second hardest thing i have done, i finally got it last night. still working on ordinance. funny this was i was just anounced that i wanted to knife fight and to meet me in the grove next to burnt apc on karkand. got shot and naded and noob tubed a million times, but eventually there was about 6 or 7 peps who were all knife fighting each other lol...

i admit this was not quite like many of you guys who were stealthy and got it the right way, but it certainly wasnt as bad as the knife, pistol servers, and i actually got a fair amount of education about bf2 knife fighting. it is certainly different than BF1942 and CS or CSS. i guess you could try it. it was like 4:00 am when we did it.

i actually feel somewhat uncomfortable about this now because it is a form of state padding so flame me because i had forgotten the face of my father.

Two words... Jihad Jeep. Not only can you get your badge with this technique, it also provides for an alternate playing experience and thus extending the playability.

Go on Sharqi and be USMC, very easy to get it there.

omg don't be a jihad jeep pansy, those are more annoying than bunny hopping noob tubers (which are really annoying). An easy way to do it is either be a sniper and put claymores in the alleyways or spawn points on Karkand, or do the same with C4. You could also lay AT mines on the roads under water on shonghua stalemate, a buddy of mine got his that way.

And for the knife... you just gotta be as stealthy as you can, and if you're spotted, just be brave and run in zig-zags toward the guy then stab him when he's reloading . Got my expert knife on Karkand that way

I have tried this tactic but couldnt get it too work (its really fun though)
If you kill someone with C4 and you die in the explosion does that not count, because i got about 20 kills with C4 and claymores but died in most of the explosions. (i never got the badge)

I have been trying to get this badge and it is a real bear.

The closest I came was 5 or 6 kills on Karkand. It was the 32-player version and I got several by hanging out on the rooftops over the central market (just SW of the railroad). I would wait for guys to stop moving around the TOW launcher. Then, I would jump down and stab em. "Death From Above" :)

Last night, while trying to get the badge, I came upon an enemy with his back to me. I whipped out the knife and got to within 5 feet of him when he turned and saw me. I quickly switched to carbine and shot away. As I was killing him, I noticed he had switched to knife. I felt bad.

Nope, post patch I got my basic knife at 5 kills. I counted them as I got them. Veteran knife is 7 kills IAR + 50 global knife kills

Dogness, you'll never get it if you care too much about getting the kill rather than getting a knife kill. I got my expert knife (18 in a round) by using a knife no matter what weapon they were blasting at me. Trust me, a lot of people can't kill you if you run in zig-zags towards them

Hmm, that's good prevention against the bug where if you get your vet and basic at the same time, it doesn't count your basic and you can't get first sergeant. Too bad they didn't fix it for people who are already screwed over by that.
