Clan servers and stupid bans.(rant)

For abouta year and a half now I ahve run a couple CS servers,I have never had anyrules on it beside the usual don't cheat,respect players etc.

Even when players did annoying things or killed me 80 million times I never kicked,the reason was,it's difficult to populate a server and you want to be as passive as possible when it comes to admining the population in or der to keep people coming back.

Lately in BF2 I have been kicked on several occasions by Clan members for simply killing them.

One instance involved me getting into a chopper and flying away,the clan leader without asking for it simply shot me out of the air and banned me for TK.I was banned once for sniping,banned for hitting a BH with a 203 (they called me a noob tuber).Today I was banned from yet another server for bombing a Chopper as it was taking off in my J-10.No reason as to why just happened that one of the occupants was in theclan and I was instantly kicked and banned.

It isn't because I am owning,because in every instance it's near the start of the round and I haven't even gotten any kills yet by the time I kill the clan member.


I have never encountered this amount of Admin abuse in any game before,it's simply ridiculous,you would think with the high server cost of ranked servers,that Admins would want to keep the people coming to thier server happy,but it doesn't seem that way.

Is it simply going to come down to only playing on offical EA servers now? should I just abandon all hope of playing a game on a clan server,or do I have to simply throw down my weapon and surrender everytime I encounter a clan member to avoid the banning that might come?

I can't understand this behaviour,It's like half the clan servers are run by children or something.

The simple answer is put up with it, yes it has happened to me, i killed an admin when they were in the black hawk, then they kicked me for it, then another time i hopped into the heli as the co-pilot, and the admin wanted me to get out so their friend could get in as co-pilot, they kicked me for that too.

There are plenty of good servers. If I ever encounter these Power tripping mongoloids I just leave their server.

Unfortunatly, Being in control and paying for a server doesn't bring out the decency in everyone.

It's not like I can predict when a server is going to kick for stupid things or not,so saying don't play on their servers is just stupid.When I actually do find out that they are asses(from playing on the server) I am banned,so not playing there in the future isn't an issue.

Following the rules is also not an issue for me,in every case that I was banned I actually went to the clan websites(when available) and looked,in every case I broke no rule at all.

In fact today with the chopper incident,one of the clan members was C4ing our planes and blowing guys up as they took off,I fly over one of their choppers as it's taking off and bomb it and I get banned.It isn't possible to follow rules when the clan makes them up as they go along to suit their needs.

It's basically become a gamble,youcan't know what clans have ****heads running their servers,without playing on them,since community sites frown on people sharing the names of bad servers.So it's up to myself to find out,and I have basically given up now on trying out clan servers.

Is it the same server you keep getting kicked from? I play on different servers all the time and don't get kicked for killing the hosting clan members... hmm. Maybe you just have bad luck.

enough with the rants, most admins wont kick/ban for killing them. only fora good reason, like on my clans server: us admins will only ban after fair warning of breaking the rules.

Looking for a good admined server that dosent kick/ban for no reason?

Once again...

I cannot stress enough the importance of finding a handful of servers where you agree with the house rules, and playing on those servers every time you log in. It greatly improves your online experience.

I occasionally run into the 13 year old admin that is power tripping, as most of prolly have. I play mostly on clan servers because there is at least usually an admin present. I now have about 15 clan servers in my favorites list because they are friendly and dont put up with ass-hattery. Im about done looking for new servers because i can most always find a game going out of that list. Just keep trying, im sure you will find some nice ones out there. And when you do, add em to favorites.

I've yet to run across one of these servers. I've had troubles with an admin getting ticked off because he wanted the helo to himself and a clanmate, but that was just one of the many people in said clan.

People always talk about these "n00bish" admins...how come I never get to have the fun of killing these people and ruining their day?

Not all clans operate that way. Use your favorites list. If you find a server that seems decent, add it to your favorites. If they kill for something stupid, take them off the list and never go back there. Their loss not yours. Eventually, they won't get anyone on that server and they will have no one to blame but themselves.

Not all clans are bad but the majority of them should be left alone. Most are run by snot nosed little teenagers that have no concept of respect or fairplay.

i got kicked from a clan server yest for "excessive teamkilling or vehicle damage" or summit like that....ther saying this after i got killed loads of times by some n00b clan members in apc's n stuff who got a bit trigger happy. i never did a single tk on the server...cos i wernt placing claymores all over the place. just completely random!
