BF2 1.02 was crap with the jumping and instant prone accuracy, have any of these issues been addressed? I'm currently cruising the canary islands at the moment, sorry for inconvenience.

You mean they really can't jump 6 feet in the air with 100 pounds of equipment on in real life? That's why I just picked the DAO-12 in hopes of combating the hoppers.Comment

I hatre bunny hoppers. The only time it really annoys me is if I come around a corner, a guy is right there and then he jumps over my head. If they are 10+ meters away, no problem. . .
However, it is absolutely ridiculous that a guy can jump over your head.
They should do it like they do it on half life. You can jump then duck to get your feet up on things, but can't jump that high. It makes bunny hopping useless.Comment

If I was getting shot at in real life I would jump, dive, roll around, run around like a mad man, and probably scream like a little girl...either that or faint and crap my shorts right before I take a bullet to the head...this all because I am not in the military and I don't have a gun to fire back at them.Originally posted by Rincewind01

I normally strafe my enemies in other games, but strafing is not very effective on BF2. Jumping, however unrealistic it may seem, works much better. This isn't Americas Army. Its a game. Survive the best you can.
Sometimes when I jump I can get closer so that my short range weapon is more effective, aka shotgun. Sometimes I can get them and sometimes I get owned.

Why do so many people B**ch about this? I have never had a problem with taking a guy out bunny hopping or not. They did not fix it in the patch so it must not be that big of a deal. This game is not based on real life that is why you can jump around like that. We all can do it so dont complain and just shoot back. You cant tell me you have never come around to a flag with 5 guys shooting at you and you didnt jump around like a bunny.Comment

theres a difference between jumping too get away (which i think is fair enough) and jumping as a form of attack.
As in a one on one close up situation you take a guy by surprise and deserve too kill him but he jumps around and 203's you thats just plain cheating IMO, i could do the same but i don't and why? Becuase its lame.Comment
