BTW, all you need to do to get the Expert sniper badge is have over 100 hours as a sniper, and then become commander with a sniper kit, and use your arty to kill 35. The patch never fixed this problem/bug because I got my vet Spec ops doing it after I got 1.03.

This proves that getting an "expert" award means nothing. There are no bragging rights for having the badge.
Btw, please don't think I'm putting anyone down for getting it with a vehicle or being commander. I'm simply saying that DICE should have made it a lot harder to get(without the use of vehicle), and therefore come with a bit more prestige...

To increase the "value" of these veteran/expert badges, Dice should have made them only obtainable without the use of a vehicle.
As someone already pointed out: "jump in a APC/Tank and go to SaK" to get the expert badge. Sheesh...kinda defeats the purpose of proving yourself as an expert sniper. It's more like your an expert with the APC/Tank.
It would really show much more skill as a sniper (or any class for that matter) to get 35 kills with only the weapons you carry with you. If this were the case, then you would truly be an expert sniper and the badge would have more "value"...

This is a really good point. I think 35 kills in one round using just a sniper rifle would really show the best of the best. I think my best is around 15 but if i was going for the 35 I would join a 1 hr server. with an average of 1 kill every 2 mins with my rifle, that would mean I would stand a good chance. As sniper's only get 30 bullets on the m95, this would mean you HAVE to re-ammo too. I find that the hardest thing about sniping is the re-ammo thing. I snipe from rooftops, and put a claymore at the top of the ladder for anyone approaching. to re-ammo I need to get off the roof, hunt down the ammo (with only a pistol as weapon against enemy) and then I can't get back on my roof anyway because of the claymore ready to blow me up wen i go up the ladder. I know there are ways around this but it sure is a pain

That's why I am a strong advocate of snipers not claymoring ladders as a support guy, you see a sniper needs ammo, up the ladder you go and a big red cross at top stops you from helping.

This is something I am considering more and more as i play sniper. I have killed about 50 people with those claymores, so they are def good to have, but do the cons outweight the pros? Mind you, a lot of ammo guys see ur up on a roof and say no right away, without even knowing you have the claymore. Good point tho.

That's true, but then you can easily look up someone's stats to see how good a sniper they are, because they show kills with sniper rifle, as opposed to as sniper kit

Just throw the ammo bags up on the roof.

Yesterday on Sharqi, an enemy sniper was sitting on the roof of the building that's on the water to the SW of the Hotel Stinger. He had a claymore up there, so I couldn't go up and kill him. Instead, I just started chucking grenades up on the roof.
