Ok, what i'm saying, the ranking system that is used in bf2 is only one way. You can go up, but when you teamkill/die ect, nothing happens. Should EA/Dice have put in the option to go down in rankings? such as loosing ranks, loosing unlocked weapons, loosing medals/awards/ribbons? I liked how in halo2, you could go down, so it keeped people at their correct skill level. (although there were a vast minority of cheaters)

Ranks yes, unlocks no. Everyone is walking around with the same weapons now.Comment

well i thought they did anyway? If you lose points then yeah you should go down it stands too reason, just like with the honour system in Americas Army you may find in a round you go up a honour point and by the end of the round you go down again because you tk etc.Comment

im glad they brought it down...cos otherwise i would have looked like a noob forever...cos i dont get much time to play with a levels n all that stuff...so yea its cool. think they should have kept the weapon unlocks the same tho...bt it dnt make much dif cos i still use the m24 more...its way more accurate than the m95Comment

ScOpE, read his whole post instead of just the title before making a reply. His post doesn't even mention the fact that the requirements were dropped for ranks.
I'm pretty sure such a system is already implemented. A look in Objects_client.zip returns several "demote.ogg" sounds, which are pretty much the opposite of the promote sounds.
