I've just got a mic/headset (logitech precision) and I dont know if its working OK. I can record sound with Windows Sound Recorder, and i've run the battlecommo setup, but is there any way I can check it's actually working? I've tried creating a squat and pressing B and talking but obviously I can't hear anything, ive tried joining squads and asking them if they can hear me but i get no response. Is there any way I can check it?

Re: How can I check my mic?
If you've checked it outside of BF2 and it's working fine then there's no real way of checking that ot works with BF2 besides what you're doing.
Try a server like TacticalGAmer where there's a *very* good chance that the squads are using VoIP. I'd say that the commander on that server is *always* using it so join up and for a squad (to become squad leader). Press V to speak to commander. -
Re: How can I check my mic?
Thanks guys
Re the audio menu mic check - I couldnt get it to work either which was what was causing me to wonder. It also doesnt seem to use my settings as saved via Battle Commo setup. Mutrino if you have the same issue i'm sure my mic will be fine, just have to find someone else using one so I can ask them :)Comment

Re: How can I check my mic?
Two things:
1. Have you got a Creative SB X-Fi sound card? If so, read my other post.
2. Have you tried setting it up via the "BF2VoiceSetup.exe" found in your "Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield2" folder? The in-game one doesn't work as well as this one does.
