How do I get rid of the silly EA browser window

This is the window that pops up after you login and says "Click here for more info".
This is keeping me from utilizing Xfire to join games, any ideas?

Sorry but the window is not stopping Xfire from connecting. DiCE added an extra feature so you don't have to hit the 'connect' button to connect to login and we're waiting for Xfire to update their software so it works with the new patch.

In the mean time if you do a search for xfire in these forums you'll get a fix which makes it work just like before (actually better!) :)

There is info on how to get past this in the XFire forums.

You need to edit your xfire_games.ini file in the Battlefield 2 section, modifying the Launch line to add +username YOURUSERNAME +playerPassword YOURPLAYERPASSWORD.

After that you can join buddies or join servers from the XFire server browser and bypass the welcome stuff.

You can also add +restart 1 to bypass the intro movies.

Does that go after Launchexe = BF2.exe?

No there should be a line a few lines down from that that's just "LAUNCH=..." with some stuff in it. Add the extras to that line.

                      What about connecting via BF2CC?

it would be the same type of fix as I laid out in the link a few posts above.

Basically it's the new command line options for playername and password
