great pic but most air to air missles are proximity types
just too hard to hit a moving abject at mach 2 with another one going mach 2

missle gets close missle explodes explosion and shrapnel take care of plane

Alright here, it shouldn't be able to veer off, the engine exhaust has a fully modelled collisiom mesh, so has the missile.

They should make it where you can still fly the plane but it starts twirling in the air and exploded on the ground.
