Gday ladies and gents,

After a long break, must be a couple of months now, i've finally decided to get back into it. Unfortunately i've been completely out of touch with everything regarding BF2, and so now i come back to the forum and find that the patch came out! fantastic!!

Anyways, i've got a few questions.

1: is the patch necessary these days, or are any servers still running the old version?

2: How much of a difference to gameplay has the patch had?

3: Have the number of smacktards dropped off? perhaps they've found a new game to bug people in??

you need the patch, most servers run 1.03 and I even think you need 1.03 for your stats to update.

Gameplay has changed in some ways, everybody has unlocks due to the fact the ranks have been lowered massive.
no more or much less BH whoring on mashtuur.
more destroying of commander assets because you get points for destroying it now.

negative sides on the patch.
-More reports of wrong tagging bug
-server browser sucks even harder now, filter do not work and stuff like that
-actualy every main bug everybody was complaining about is still in the game, and you got some extra bugs with it for free
