Does bf2 support radeon 9200??

The game crashes to the desktop after a full black screen right at the start.
I went to the official EA Technical support and they said these are the only
ATI Radeon series bf2 supports

X700 (PCIe), X600 (PCIe), X800 XT Platinum Edition, X800 PRO, X300 series.
9800 series, 9700 series, 9600 series, 9559 (RV350LX), 9500 series, 8500 series.

It supports 8500 but why isnt 9200 supported by bf2?

If your card is the PCI version the 9200 the core that is on that card is actually an older core, which is not supported by BF2. If you have the AGP version you need to go into the ATI Control Panel and look for a setting called "SmartGART" and slide it down to 4x instead of 8x. People have reported this works.
