Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Instead of doing this I just went into Add/Remove programs and unistalled BF2. After I did this I checked all of the things that were described above and they were gone including the reg keys. I then re-installed the game and the most recent patch. I playted for a couple of hours yesterday with no problems. I will report back after some more gameplay to let you all know if that resolved the problem.
Just to let you guys know it didn't work. So now I am trying what Bananaboy posted. If that doesn't work I am going to try to pull a stick of memory out.
Man, this problem is really ****ing me off. It seems to happen on certain servers for some reason and not on others. I know what you are going to say "so dont play on them" but they are my favorites.
I have tried everything in this thread but pulling a stick of memory. My question is I have 4 sticks of 512...do I just pull one and reinstall the game or what?

I purchased SF online through the EA downloader. During instalation I get an "md5 object_client.zip error".
I have reinstalled BF2, the EA downloader and SF. This is after a clean uninstall, including removing left over files manually. Ive have done this 3 times over the last 2 days. I have installed in the order recommended here, BF2, SF, Patch. I have also downloaded the patch and intalled it manually not using the EA downloader with the same results.
If I click past the error and continue the install then the patch, when I try to join any server I get the "unmodified content error".
Its not my machine. I run XPpro on an Alienware 3.4 HT EE, 2 gigs ram, Nvidia 6800 ultra with 30 gigs of space on my drive. I have all the latest drivers and service packs. I am not using any firewall, virus scanners or behind a router. Before any install I have defraged, checked for drive errors, removed all temp files and shut down all proccesses except taskmgr.exe and explorer.exe. All ending with the same results.
I use STEAM/VALVE for a lot of my games. I have purchased every game the have offered throught the STEAM DOWNLOAD platform with no problems what so ever.
Please offer me a valid soulution to my problem. Thank you in advance for your time and attention to this matter.
How can this be due to the patch? I've been playing a patched-up version since the patch came out, but today it's started doin this ****in version bollocks, running memtest now, 10 minutes in, no errors so far...
Thanks EA Dice and NVIDIA for ruining the best game on PC.
I agree. This is utterly asinine. I only started getting these problems after installing the Special Forces Mod. And from the look of things, the creators of the product and its problem aren't offering a real solution. This really ****es me off.
Sorry folks but it is NEVER the fault of the patch and ALWAYS something wrong with your PC. The way it's set up, the RAM you have installed, the colour of the PSU.
It could be anything ! (but tends to be hard drive or RAM problems).
Sorry if you can't get it working. But if you're not willing to test your memory with memtest or try to install the damn thing 15 times until it works then there isn't a lot anyone here nor at EA can do to help you.
I fixed the modified content error I got when trying to load SF. I had tried reinstalling patches but it still didnt work.
Went to add/remove program files
Removed SF
Removed BF
Reinstalled BF
Reinstalled SF
Patched using full 1.2
Added 1.2>1.21 incremental patch
(I would have done the 1.21 full but I already had the 1.2 full + new so I went with that one)
*note-i did not mess with the registry
*note-i did not mess around with my ram as some suggest
*note-could have saved my key binding file but wasnt worth the trouble
So even though it was a major pain in the ass it worked, had to reset key bindings but I am getting good at that, also had to reoptimize shaders but all in all still faster than screwing around with it forever. Plus, my BF2 seems to run even better now, although SF still loads PAINFULLY slow... I think it keeps optimizing shaders everytime, but so what I just wanted my new unlocks dont care about SF as a game.
If you have Battlefield 2 and the Battlefield 2: Special Forces expansion pack please follow the steps below:
Uninstall Battlefield 2: Special Forces, and the Battlefield 2 base game using the uninstall program, Add/Remove Programs, or manual uninstall for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2 Special Forces .
Install the Battlefield 2 base game.
Install Battlefield 2: Special Forces.
Install the full patch.
Once you have completed installation please try the game again.
----------------------------------
If you have the Euro Forces Booster Pack the 1.22 patch must be installed after you install Euro Forces, otherwise content errors will arise. If you have installed the 1.22 patch before you have installed Euro Force, please re-install the 1.22 patch and try the game again.
If you still receive an unmodified content error there will be a corruption in one of the data files. Please follow the steps below:
Uninstall Battlefield 2: Special Forces (if applicable), and the Battlefield 2 base game using the uninstall program, Add/Remove Programs, or manual uninstall for Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2 Special Forces (if applicable).
Install Battlefield 2.
Install Battlefield 2: Special Forces (if applicable).
Install the 1.21 patch
Install Battlefield 2: Euro Forces
Install the 1.22 patch
I'm having all kinds of problems with BF since trying to run my freshly installed SF. Tried to join a SF online game, it grips about the modified content thing (I didn't know it was a PB message, it would be appropriate for the damn message to say so). I re-installed 1.2, then reinstalled 1.2-1.21, then when I run 1.21-1.22, it says I have to install 1.21 first. Running 1.21 any number of times does not help the 1.21-1.22 patch program to even recognize 1.21 is installed.
I do not like EA/DICE's way with the patching process, this is not the first time my install has become corrupted, first time I didn't even install anything for it to break. Looks like 2+ hours wasted swapping CDs and rebooting.
Pathetic of them not to be able to recognize their own patches. Flame away.

I had the SAME PROBLEM... i completely uninstalled... looked for all bf2 files left over and deleted them... then rebooted.. installed... then downloaded the 350+mb 1.22 patch off ea's site.. and have not had one problem since...
