      Try these on for size:

      Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-480 ATX12V 480W Power Supply

      ENERMAX EG465P-VE 24P ATX 460W Power Supply

FSP Group (Fortron Source) AX500-A ATX12V 500W Power Supply

A PSU around 420W or more, and made by a good brand would do; Fortron, Seasonic, Antec, Enermax, OCZ (excluding the ModStream serie) , etc.

Edit: I saw the one of the post above me suggested an OCZ Mod Stream, and I would go against that. The OCZ PowerStream serie is really good, but for the Mod Stream, they are using lower quality parts. I'm not saying it's not a good PSU, it's still far better than any generic crap, but there are better choices IMO.

You don't go wrong with a good Antec or Enermax.

The main thing to look for in a PSU is the AMP rateing of the 12v rail the higher the rateing the more heavy duty the components & they are better at heat dissapation. Say you have 2 PSUs both 400watt 1 has 24 amps on the 12v rail the other 36 amp 12v rail your components draw 325 watts @ 18 amps both will run just fine but the 36 amp will run cooler, last longer & have a steader power output.

I have an Aspire Case and it comes with a 500watt ps. I have not had one ounce of trouble with it. I bought all of my PC parts from Newegg.com Spent over 3k on it.

                My case is here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811144089

Like I said, I did not need to upgrade at all. It works fine.

                Other specs:

                AMD 3800+
                6800GT
                2 gig Corsair XMS

I wouldn't go for anything less than what you stated:

and it has to be under 100 bucks
Those posted by me and the others are at the bottom, roughly, of the decent power supplies. SickieWifeBeater provided a great point. The more heat is in your case, the less performance you get.
A little better power supply will afford you a little breathing room to add more componants, and to give you a cushion should the temp in your gaming or living/ bedroom rise on a hot day.
I just switched out a cheap PS for an Antec SmartPower 500w ps, and I have not regretted paying the $91.00 at CompUsa.

Note: For two GeForce 7800 GTX-based graphics cards running in NVIDIA SLI configurations, a minimum 500W system power supply (with 12V rating of 34A) is recommended.

I have one, and I think it's great. 34 Amps, 500 watts, available 100% of the time. I run a watercooled system with it, and I have enough spare amperage to run a 2nd PC.

I also have an Aspire, 500W, 12v, DUAL fan, and uber sexy :)

Dumbest thing on it is an adjustment for fan speed, who the heck isn't going to run those fans full blast lol...

Here's a second vote of confidence for Aspire.

I bought an Aspire ATX-AS 520W power supply to go in my black x-window Thermaltake Tsunami case 14 months ago and, like you, haven't had a single problem with it.

It's 520 watts, very quiet, has 3 fans (with nice blue lights) with adjustable RPMs, a sturdy black housing, UV reactive wiring (if you use UV), and has excellent output specs: (+3.3V@30A, +5V@32A, +12V@35A, -5V@0.3A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A). Nicest looking power supply I've ever seen, and it's a workhorse. I added and removed and tested so many things over the past year in that computer that if the PSU had any problem, I'd have discovered it by now.

It's $55 from newegg, well under the self-imposed $100 limit.
