Joystick help

Most people say that joystick are easy to fly with but im having some trouble with mine, Not hardware but

Just where you bind it I think maybe I did it wrong. I have it so it switches from air-ground and air-air but what is the actual one that drops bombs called? The pitch axis is like rolling right?
