With 1280X1024 ?

im wondering if i can play smoothly with the new 1280X1024 resolusion .. thx for any thoguhts in advanced ..
here is my sys.
A64 S939 3000+ @ 2.0G
Leadtek 6600 256mb @ 400/584 (maybe can run a bit higher but since it's fine now)
1G of ram DC

im now runnign great with the first 2 effects set in high and all others in mid with 2X FF on 1024X768
wut should i set with the 1280X1024 since i got a 19" LCD .. and heard alot abt the pros of playing this resolusion on 17+ LCD .. ~ they said it's a whole new world ..

or should i just stay in 1024X768 and try to set other effects in high?

and lastly ... does any1 kno the 7.1 souce device in nForce4 Ultra counts as hardware sound card as the sound setting in BF2 ? .. and will i benefits if i enable EAX or ill better of with my old ass SB Live! 5.1 ? (heard Bf2 dont support such old modle ?)

ive just changed my rig to 1280x1024 all on high except lighting and shadows are on medium with 4AA - i get the odd pause when theres lots going on.
the best thing you can do is try different settings until your happy

the 1280x1024 that they impliment is kinda shotty if you ask me. I have an X850XT PE, 2GB DDR2, P4 3.4 and I still get some momentry lapses. So much for a fixing patch.
