The gun ships are easy to barrel roll or loop. To roll it just throw your stick in the direction you wish to roll and hold it. Pull out, back to center about ¾ of the way or you will continue to roll past up right. To loop pull back on the stick and hold it like a roll, again recover about ¾ threw to come back to center. You can also combine the two. Go to single player and have some fun learning.

Once you learn this, PLEASE never use this in a real game. You'll look like a complete moron who wants to show off. It really won't help getting AA missiles off you as much as quick strafing. It will **** the people off in your chopper rather than impress them.

The heli's seem to not like to flip forwards, flipping backwards all you have to do is pull back on the stick. But to flip forward try flipping backwards a bit then going into your forward flip so you will have more momentum to carry you through.

Once you learn this, PLEASE never use this in a real game. You'll look like a complete moron who wants to show off. It really won't help getting AA missiles off you as much as quick strafing. It will **** the people off in your chopper rather than impress them.

I use this all the time effectively. I don't know what you're talking about, but if you know you're in a TV war with a helicopter, a good way to throw off that missle is to do a side flip. Then you can point your nose up and your gunner can hopefully knock him out.

I use the roll to get away from attacking jets. They don't see it coming. I like it. Loops work well for losing an attacking chopper. Must players don't know how to perform these moves and you can loose them.

The best way to learn is single player/create local. I can barrel roll in an attack chopper at 30ft alt. Loops take a bit more altitude, 80 or so ft. (although i believe in actuality only the Commanche can perform a loop).

And believe it or not all transport choppers can do both loops and rolls, you just need much more altitude. The blackhawk needs about 60-70 ft for a roll and the MEC/Chinese transports need 80ft. I wouldnt attempt a loop with the transports under 120 ft.

While you're upside down doing your roll, try and put your nose up, otherwise you'll lose a bunch of altitude.

Nothing makes me laugh more than doing a barrel roll in a fully loaded BH only to have everyone bail out. Turn around pick them up and head back on our way.

I use that myself especially if the cobras on my arse ill loop backwards then come up behind him and get my gunner to take him out. Word of warning though you've got to have plenty of altitude when doing this move and its does work in the BH and the flying buses (mec an Chinese transport helis) but you shouldn't do it in them it wont shake a lockon and its very slow.

125 alltitude. roll left until ur upside down. keep pulling the nose up the whole time.continue to roll left untill your right side up and pull up.
this is all ive been able to do at low alltitude.
