Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Here's some good info. I found in the editor forums. See if anything in here helps:
"Ok. Here it is. Plain and simple. If you are working in the editor with the standard BF2 mod, you can only use the existing road templates (unless you wish to alter the provided templates and rename them with an existing name). If you wish to create your own templates, you must be working in your own mod. Here are the instructions for creating a road using the existing templates in the BF2 mod.
Before you begin, go to the Mod Manager (top menu) and make sure the road folder is not checked.
In the level editor, click on the road tool. Then scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Resources box. You should see a Road Templates option. When you click the plus sign next to the Road Templates, you should see a list of various existing BF2 road templates. If you don't see them, don't panic. You have to unpack them.
Unpacking Road Templates Procedure:
1. Go to the following folder - ...\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\
2. Open the Objects_client.zip file and extract all the splines folders to the following folder - ...\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects\Roads\. You should now have a Splines folder in the Roads folder. There should be a bunch of con files in there.
3. Open the Objects_server.zip file and extract all the splines folders to the same Road\Splines folder.
4. Now go back to the BF2 Editor and click on the blue plus sign in the Resource window (load resource).
5. Choose roads/splines. Now the road templates should be available in the level editor. Check by choosing the road tool in the level editor, then scrolling down the left side of the resource window until you see the road templates. They should all be there.
Making roads with the road tool:
1. Right click on the location where you want your road to begin. Important: the first point is a control point and won't show road texture.
2. Therefore, your second spline point should be added very close to the first one. You can add it by right clicking and choosing add spline point, or by holding down the alt key and left clicking.
3. Once you have added all your spline points, you can adjust them as necessary. If you are trying to make a ramp, I recommend elevating each point a little of the existing terrain. Eventually, when you apply the spline, it will elevate the ground to the spline points.
4. Choose a road template for the road from the resource window. You can adjust the width, etc in the Tweaker window.
5. Double click on one of the middle spline points to select the whole road spline.
6. Click connect in the right window. It will ask you for a name for the road. Name it.
7. You should now see the road connecting the spline points.
8. Adjust any spline points as necessary.
9. Click apply spline and it will attach the ground to the spline (note that it does not attach the road to the ground).
10. After you are happy with all the roads, click "build all final roads"
Let me know if this helps. If so, I will post it as a separate tutorial so people can find it. Let me know if you have questions.
Skygaffel, make sure you do this part (VERY IMPORTANT!):
Unpacking Road Templates Procedure:
1. Go to the following folder - ...\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\
2. Open the Objects_client.zip file and extract all the splines folders to the following folder - ...\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Objects\Roads\. You should now have a Splines folder in the Roads folder. There should be a bunch of con files in there.

5. Choose roads/splines. Now the road templates should be available in the level editor. Check by choosing the road tool in the level editor, then scrolling down the left side of the resource window until you see the road templates. They should all be there.
Then it should work.
one thing that should be added to the tutorial is this
before unpacking the files make sure the editor is closed. (yeah i screwed up with that)
also maybe more emphasis on making sure roads is unchecked in the modmanager (screwed that up too).
thanks again for the info. now my racetrack actually looks like a racetrack YEAH!

Got it working, but it still is a hassle to get a neat road that has a lot of curves and goes downhill at the same time. For some reason my road always looks bumpy at the edges and lines don't seem to be nice and straigth.
I hear you on that one. I have just removed the roads from my latest map and painted them in by hand. Looks much better in my opinion, and it's had an unexpected although pleasing side effect. When I applied the spline it sank the road into the terrain by about 3 inches or so, so when I painted my road and removed the spline I have slightly raised grass verges. Looks great.
A good tip if you want to paint roads, draw a spline first. Then follow it keeping the tip of your cursor on the line. Time consuming but the results are worth it."
Look read what he's posted properly, all the way through and it tells you what to do. You have to give your road template the same name as one that already exists in BF2 otherwise they wont work.
when I goto /battlefield2/mods/bf2/objects I find only a folder named "weapons" in there, no roads folder or file.
thats why you need to extract roads folder from objects_client and objects_server Use search function before posting about something that has been answered before many times.

ok thanks "wink wink" :) :) :) smile smile. go hug a tree. There is no where I can find that says where objects_client and objects_server.zip are located, but I did happen to stumble across them no thanks to you. If you want me to search before asking then just dont post, cause if u are saying it has been asked many times before and I can't seem to find it. Well wise guy since its been asked many times b4 show me where with a little link instead of a helpless commet
OK....I seem to be having the same problem. I have unzipped the Object client and server files. Looked in there for a roads folder, but do not see any folders at all. Just a ton of files. So I extracted everything into the roads folder from both zips.
I went to mod manager and unchecked roads, went to the resources bar and click Load Resource, then selected all the splines and clicked OK. But the spline templates are not showing up in the resources bar when I have the road tool selected?
I repeated the steps and when I click the load resource button again and re-select all the splines, it says they are already loaded? So what am I missing? :hmm:
*EDIT* I found the problem with some help. Use Win RAR to unzip.....not WinZip.
