Proof of the red name bug

For all you non believers or ones that have never seen it, look at the color of the dots that show what positions in the tank are filled. I got a couple TKs on this map for shooting at a far away flag with a tank because my teammates didn't show up on the mini-map. I think that's why they started a vote kick against me. I asked them why they were but no one would respond. Someone with a score of 0 with 0 kills and 0 deaths initiated a vote kick against me right after the first one ended. Complete clowns!

lol people need proof of this?

Yesterday, on the War is Hell 64 man server, my clanmate got in and on my side. We were flying the Cobra, with a red squad and a blue square in it LOL. All of his kills showed as TK's to me, but his score didn't reflect it.

Great bug, thanks EA for addressing this one

The question arises: Why is there even a red colour for occupied positions ? It's theoretically impossible to an enemy and yourself to occupy the same vehicle at the same time, so why would the colour be there ? It's like they expected the problem to arise and semi-prepared for it... [/conspire]

...or it just uses the same logic as the minimap and they didn't programmaticly deny the posibility at that level because they never expected it to happen in the first place?

Re: Proof of the red name bug

Well, to expand on that issue I had further. Most of our clan was on the other side, so when he joined, he made a squad. I pulled up the squad menu, and his squad wasn't showing up for me.

The red bug seems to apply to all aspects of the players play - squads, tk's, etc... Something that obviously needs addressed asap..

Re: Proof of the red name bug

Red bugged teammates also show up as enemies on UAV and sat scans and can be spotted just like normal enemies. And it's fun trying to tell when one of them is in a vehicle, since there you can't see the uniforms (and I'm assuming they show up as a target to a bomber jet as well). Yeah, it needs to be addressed, but it's been there since the demo and they have yet to fix it, so maybe they never will. It'll be interesting to see if it occurs in the expansion.
