EA / Dice have fixed basic/vet problem.

Looks like they have fixed this problem.

After checking my stats on with the totalBF2 icon on left below my forum name. I now have basic pistol, whereas before i did not, it only showed vet pistol.

Looks like EA have updated their databases.

well but those who are already MS will never get the FS rank until they hit 50k! I can live with that as long as I'm able to get the sharpshooter medals!

people who are MS wont get promoted to FS because you can have both of these ranks, only one. even though the bug is fixed and you may have the requirements for FS, you still wont get it because your already MS. but you will get sergeant major when you get to 50k

they wont get FS when they hit 50k, they wont get FS at all because yoou can only be either FS or MS, they will however get sergeant major instead of master gunnery

I guess I didn't write what I thought! You're right was thinking of the Sergeant Major rank when hitting 50k!
