Hi , Anyone else see that trailer for BF2 that was released closely prior to the release date that included a map that looked like mashtuur city and included another weapon for spec ops to use? The spec ops class could "paint a target" for guided missles / bombs that are on friendly jets. Now obviously this was taken out of the final release but Im wondering if anyone knows if this will be included in the expansion?

Re: Painting Target
That trailer was not Battlefield 2, that was Battlefield 2 Alpha, what we got was Battlefield 2 "Final"...Comment

Re: Painting Target
JOTR had that ability..you could paint targets and the mortar team would bomb the crap out of it..BF2 should have that ability..completely get rid of artillery and substitute it with that..Comment

Re: Painting Target
It would make it a lot easier to bomb if guys used painting. Because some people are actually smart enough to jump out of the vehicle if a bomber is coming. And if pilots like myself have a low-end system, we never even see the tanks, we just see the square targets. Would be an excellent addition.Comment

Re: Painting Target
You do not need target designators, just use;
Q > Spotted
I think people really underestimate this function.
When our squad are running together and im in a jet I always get them to spot any armour, it makes it so easy to line up a bombing run. If you miss the first time chances are you did enough damage for your troops to take it out easily.Comment

If that video was the alpha version I'm gonna have to say I think I'd rather have that one then the final version.Comment
