Pistol/Knife Double Badge Bug Fixed (Kinda)

I got in contact with some people I know at DICE last week about earning the vet badge won't give you the basic badge. They've fixed at least my account so I now have both. I had this bug with the knife badges before. However, I still haven't advanced to First Sergeant. I AM still missing the command badge, but I don't think thats needed for FS.

Anyone wanna comfirm/dispute this possible fix?

there are several other threads bout this problem. I have the same problem, I'm MS and have all the badges and all ribbons cept War College Ribbon. But didn't get FS. They said in the other thread that you won't be promoted til FS if you already had the MS rank when they fixed the basic badge problem. But if you reach 50'000 points you should be promoted til Sergent Major! Let's hope so!

No, I know the guy who made Karkand, I sent him an e-mail linking the post on these boards that made a good explanation of the bug, and he forwarded it on to the guys at DICE handling the BF2 patch stuff.

Honestly, it seems to me that EA does very little interms of giving player feedback to DICE. I hear about the DICE guys going out and reading the boards themselves to get a fix on what the community is saying.

They did a good supporting job with me! Got answers after 2 hours. But still I'm not too happy withem at the moment either!
